How to Archive Your Own X and TikTok Content

The cleanest file is the one you exported before you posted. Re-downloading your own TikTok after it is live gives a re-encoded copy. Archive the master.

Workflow: record, edit, export, then post

1. Edit in CapCut, VN, Premiere or DaVinci. Export a master MP4 at 1080x1920 for vertical.
2. Save the master in a folder per post: 2026-09-18-my-post/master.mp4 plus captions and cover.
3. Upload the master to X, TikTok, Reels and Shorts separately from the same file. Do not download your own TikTok to feed Reels : quality drops each re-encode.
