Never Lose
Hours of Typing
Again
Form ReDraft is a free form recovery extension for Chrome.
It quietly keeps a copy of what you type into any form, from a plain contact box to a rich text editor or a single page app.
Reload the page, crash the browser, lose the tab, and the text is one click away.
Why Form ReDraft?
Because losing a paragraph to a stray click should not happen to anyone.
Works Where Others Fail
Covers text inputs, textareas, rich text editors such as Notion and Zendesk, fields inside web components and shadow DOM, and single page apps that never reload the page.
Passwords Are Never Stored
Password fields, card numbers, security codes and one-time codes are refused outright. Secrets found inside ordinary prose are redacted before the text is written to disk.
Nothing Leaves the Device
Form ReDraft makes no network requests, holds no account and asks for no site permissions beyond the pages you visit. Drafts are encrypted before they are stored.
You Decide Where It Records
Nothing is recorded until you choose. Keep it to the sites you turn on, or let it run everywhere except banking, payment and email sites. Either way the popup always tells you which state you are in.
When Form ReDraft Steps In
The four moments that quietly destroy hours of work.
The Accidental Click
You click away from a half-written answer, a comment box empties, and the site has already forgotten it. Form ReDraft still has it.
The Browser Crash
Chrome dies, the laptop restarts, and every open form is blank. Form ReDraft writes continuously, so the text is already on disk.
The Route Change
A single page app swaps screens without asking, taking your draft with it. Form ReDraft re-checks the page after every route change.
The Update That Nuked Everything
An extension update, a browser reset or a cleared profile wipes saved history for every tool that used the browser cache. Form ReDraft keeps its own encrypted copy.
How the Restore Works
Three steps, and the middle one is the part most extensions get wrong.
1. Keep
As you type, Form ReDraft waits for a short pause, filters the text, encrypts it and stores it against the page and the field.
2. Offer
When you return to an empty field that Form ReDraft recognises, a small badge appears beside it showing the word count and when the text was written.
3. Restore Into the Framework
The text is written through the native value setter and an input event is dispatched, so React, Vue and Angular update their own state instead of only the pixels on screen.
